Food

A menu of honest pub food, made with top-quality fresh ingredients is served all day. We serve the good stuff. Free-range chicken, eggs and sustainable fish. Find a spot to sit, order at the bar, have a drink while your food’s cooked, then sit back and enjoy. As well as great steaks, burgers and sizzlers, The One Elm also offers bar snacks, including scotch eggs, chicken buffalo wings and mac & cheese.

All our meat is British and of the highest quality, from Aubrey Allen.  This eighty year-old Warwickshire butcher supplies many of Britain’s finest restaurants as well as holding HM The Queen’s Royal Warrant. Our steaks are from Britain’s finest (increasingly rare) beef herds, 28-day dry-aged for stupendous flavour.

Menus

Our head chef and his skilled brigade devise our menu of classic dishes and weekend specials. As well as celebrating our increasingly-vibrant British food culture, the focus on seasonal ingredients means we buy the best stuff when it’s at the best price. This way we keep prices sensible even though we’re buying top quality ingredients. Fabulous fresh food at pub prices.

Children

We don’t have a children’s menu, because we think they should have the opportunity to eat food that’s as good as yours, but our chefs are happy to make smaller portions or simplified versions of anything on our menu. Half–size Sunday roasts (at half-price!) are a big hit.

Drink

We have a range of well-kept real ales on tap along with great ciders, Continental beers and lagers. We are serious about spirits too. Tanqueray London Dry Gin and Ketel One Vodka are our current favourites for pouring. Our gin list features 12 of the best – and our grand gins are favourites with our regulars. We also make a fine cocktail. 

Wine

Our wine is chosen by Jo Eames, co-owner of Peach, from three multi award-winning suppliers, Tanners of Shrewsbury, Liberty Wines & Boutinot. Our list is short, but captures a great selection of classics. 

 

HOORAY FOR AUTUMN

The Autumn harvest brings us a bounty of flavourful foraged and fresh ingredients. Plump squashes and pumpkins, seasonal game and abundant orchard fruits ready to be cooked from scratch into a soup, stew or delicious pie by one of our talented chefs. As we celebrate the turn of a new season, hanker down with us and enjoy some of our deliciously warm and comforting Autumnal fare.
