Street Food Night

Street Food has come on leaps and bounds since it found its origins in the Burger and Kebab van. While once upon a time, us Brits would conjure up the image of a greasy food truck in a layby when considering street food, thankfully this is no longer the case.

London has seen a huge rise in the number of pop-up food markets selling all kinds of street food from all over the world, and it’s not just the capital that’s embraced this well-loved foodie trend. Not wanting to be left out, our Head Chef Jake decided to bring Street Food to The One Elm, dedicating a weekly night to this exciting and emerging trend.

Removing the van, and instead throwing in a relaxed Gastro Pub vibe, with plenty of drinks, we’re here to help you beat those Monday blues. Luckily the trend doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime soon, and we’re determined that neither will our creativity. From Gourmet Kebabs and tasty Tacos to spicy Popcorn, we’re sure you won’t be disappointed. Plus, the menu changes weekly, with new dishes and flavours each Monday night – giving you a reason to keep on coming back.

Our recent night kicked off with Masala Cod and Lamb Koftas. Succulent, tasty Cod and melt in your mouth Lamb, meant our guests were begging for more! But remember to save room for the main event, BBQ Ribs, Slow-cooked Lamb Stew and Baharat Spiced Monkfish Tails. Seasoning the Monkfish with these Middle-Eastern spices gave the fish a great balance of savoury and slightly sweet flavours with a warming kick. Just divine! There’s always a pudding to devour if you still have room too…

We think that Jake and his team are fast becoming the masters of street food, but don’t just take our word for it, book a table and come and see what we offer. We can guarantee it’s the best place in Stratford to be on a Monday night.
